Here's my attempt to gather all of the information floating around the internet as well as some thoughts of my own. The clock is ticking, folks - who's moving tomorrow?
Thomas Vanek - The Ducks were reportedly in the mix, but now it appears to be up to San Jose if they want to pursue the UFA winger. He clearly wants to test the market which makes his value dip. Consider Garth Snowed.
**UPDATE** Boston now seems to have found their way into the mix.
Alex Edler - Where he could go is completely up for grabs, but with Luongo gone, Kesler appearing to be right after him and the Sedins battling health issues, Edler may be a piece that is moved to inject new life or spark a rebuild. I think among other teams Detroit is interested as well as Boston. Vancouver would prefer he landed on the east coast.
Ryan Kesler - There was interest from the Rangers, but according to Larry Brooks Kesler would not waive his NTC to move to New York. Sports 590 the Fan in Toronto reported that the Penguins have said they'll beat any offer made. Vancouver also is rumored to have asked Toronto for Kadri, Gardiner and a 1st to get in on Kesler. Tough pill to swallow there.
Dave Bolland - Speaking of Toronto, Nick Kypreos has said that the Leafs are "making calls" on Bolland as his high contract demands are going to be tough to meet.
Matt Moulson - Add San Jose, Anaheim, Ottawa, LA and Pittsburgh to the mix. This scoring winger needs a top flight center to thrive.
Chris Stewart - Ottawa and LA seem to have shown the most interest.
Jaroslav Halak / Martin Brodeur - With Minnesota going after Ilya Bryzgalov, that leaves New Jersey and Buffalo to determine the floor on their trade negotiations for their tenders. Is Washington still kicking the tires? With Carey Price recently landing on IR, could you imagine Halak returning to the Habs? Weird.
Mike Cammalleri - Reportedly being shopped in the East. If he's going to move, Brian Burke doesn't want to see a lot of him in the Saddle Dome. He still has good hockey left in him. Include Ottawa, Pittsburgh and Boston as possible landing spots. **Update** Add Philadelphia to the mix.
Jason Spezza - Not sure I believe these rumors. Which playoff team is going to take a risk on his remaining year at $7 million with his injury issues? Beats me.
Martin St. Louis - He's put Yzerman in a tough spot. It's supposedly the Rangers or bust. Not sure there's really a deal to be made there. Tampa can do something special in the playoffs if he sticks around. I think he hangs on in Tampa and the dust settles in the off-season.
Ryan Callahan - Not sure what the hell is going on in the Big Apple. Sather is tough to get a read on.
Winnipeg Jets - Paul Maurice has them fighting for a playoff spot. Will they be sellers or buyers? (Kane, Jokinen, Byfuglien)
Mikhail Grigorenko - Had to throw his name into the ring. Tim Murray doesn't have any emotional ties to this roster. Would Pat Roy and the Avs take an interest considering Roy claims to be so high on him from coaching Grigs in juniors?
Tyler Myers/Christian Ehrhoff - I've heard teams such as Edmonton, Detroit and Colorado thrown in the mix with returns such as Eberle and O'Reilly for Myers. Detroit seems more poised on Ehrhoff, but doesn't want to part with its youth. Will something give when the clock ticks down?
Ales Hemsky / Sam Gagner - Word has it they both have to go. Hemsky is due to become a free agent and the Oilers don't want to lose an asset for nothing. Gagner just doesn't seem like he fits with this Oilers squad. Where they're going to land seems to be anyone's guess, but I could see Hemsky in Detroit or with the Rangers as a rental and Gagner heading to a team like Colorado who may be preparing to fill a void if Paul Stastny leaves in the off-season.
**UPDATE** Rangers may be willing to offer a 2nd Round Pick for Hemsky. Price may be out of their comfort zone.
